Restaurant Spotlight: Big Star
In the heart of Wicker Park you will find the go-to, must be seen, hipster of all hipster restaurants BIG STAR.

Greeted with metal yellow chairs, little decor, and a waiter or waitress that is bound to have some interesting artwork somewhere on their body we waited in what seemed like the longest line for a table on this hot summer day.
Seated in the Sun (they have indoor options too) we looked over the menu and ordered the queso- not your typical watery queso but actual cheese with green peppers and chorizo (we left our meat out) and mini tortillas to create your own- YUM.
They had several options for tacos and we opted for the chicken and the potato- both arrived hot and fresh and were amazing! Watch out the potatoes are spicy!
Overall the main appeal for us was that Big star is super kid friendly- there were even a few furry friends dining with their owners! Along with our table their were atleast 5-6 buggies scattered throughout the restaurant.
We will definitely be back before the cold temps make their way to the windy city!
xx
